Our Hunts

Every weekend, Saturdays or Sundays, we host hunts and tasting experiences for small  groups of 16 for the elusive black truffle.

To begin your truffle experience, a short discussion with us as growers will inform you about truffle, growing trees and the training of our dogs. We then follow Floyd on a hunt through the Ilex, Robur and Hazelnut trees to find the magical addition to our lunch.

We return to the truffle room for a grading session and then enjoy a tasting platter for 2 inside or in the garden if weather permits.

Our platters pair truffle with foods high in rich natural fats such as butter, cream, milk and eggs to unlock the truffle’s flavour.

Hunt experiences begin at 11.30am and finish approximately at 2.30pm.

Bookings are essential and payment in full by direct deposit is required to secure your booking.

A full refund is available if notified 14 days before the scheduled hunt.

Happy New Year. I hope this summer has and will be kind to you.

Due to the continuing run of exceptionally dry weather and little to no rain during the critical period of spring and up to Christmas for the production of truffle, we have run out of water to irrigate our truffiere. We now think it highly unlikely that we will have enough truffle to support hunts so we are unable to open bookings for 2020 winter truffle hunts.

If the opportunity arises where we can offer some alternative to our truffle hunts we will contact all on our waiting list and also put the information on our website.

We hope that mother nature looks favourably upon us all this year and weather conditions improve.
